Most “best VPN for Binance” articles you will find are really bypass guides. They tell you which VPN gets past the geo-block so you can trade from a country where Binance is not allowed.
I am not going to write that article, because it is the fastest way I know to get an account frozen with your crypto stuck inside it.

Here is how I think about it. A VPN on Binance should work like a seatbelt, not like a forged ID. If you are already allowed to use Binance, a good VPN protects your login on hotel Wi-Fi, hides your exchange activity from your internet provider, keeps your connection stable and helps your IP stay consistent with your verified country when you travel. If you are not allowed to use Binance, a VPN does not change that, and Binance’s own terms say so clearly.
I am a full-time cybersecurity professional, and over the last three years I have published more than 600 VPN videos across my two YouTube channels, AllThingsVPN and VPNR.
For this guide I tested 10 VPNs specifically for exchange use: kill switch behavior during reconnects, DNS and WebRTC leaks, speed retention, obfuscation on restrictive networks, device limits and how cleanly each one loads Binance from servers in allowed countries.
Surfshark One came out on top, and below I explain exactly why, along with nine alternatives and their honest downsides.
Read this first: Binance’s Terms of Use prohibit using a VPN, proxy or similar tool to change your apparent IP address and get around geographic restrictions. Your eligibility depends on where you are physically located, where you live and, for US persons, your citizenship. It does not depend on the IP address Binance sees. Everything in this guide is written for people who are already eligible to use Binance.com where they are.
The best VPNs for Binance in 2026 at a glance
These are my picks, in my editorial order. Every one of them has a kill switch, a modern protocol and servers across many countries where Binance operates normally. The differences come down to speed, audits, device limits, jurisdiction and price.

Who can and cannot use Binance in 2026
Before picking a VPN, you need to know where you stand. Binance publishes a List of Prohibited Countries, and the version I checked for this guide was updated on 5 January 2026. On top of the full bans, several markets have partial restrictions where the site loads but some products are missing.
| Location | Status on Binance.com | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Prohibited | Applies if you are located, established, resident, a citizen or operating there. Americans are directed to Binance.US, a separate product with fewer coins and no global futures or margin book. |
| Canada | Prohibited | Applies if you are located, established or resident in Canada. |
| Netherlands | Prohibited | Applies if you are located, established or resident in the Netherlands. |
| Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Crimea, non-government-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk | Prohibited (sanctions) | These are sanctions blocks. A VPN does not make serving them legal for Binance or safe for the user, and sanctions evasion is a separate legal problem. |
| United Kingdom | Restricted | Closed to new sign-ups and no derivatives. Existing accounts can still spot trade, but Binance does not hold FCA authorisation. |
| European Union | Restricted, varies by country | MiCA licensing has narrowed what Binance can offer. Several national registrations have lapsed, and regulators have been examining how some EU users are still served through an Abu Dhabi entity under the narrow “reverse solicitation” rule. |
| Everywhere else | Product sets vary | Futures, margin, Earn, P2P and fiat deposit options differ by country even where the site loads normally. |
Binance updates its restricted list without much notice. Always check the current List of Prohibited Countries in Binance’s support center before trading, especially if you have moved or travel often.
Does Binance allow VPNs?
Yes, with an important condition. Binance does not ban an account just because a VPN is switched on. What the terms prohibit is the purpose: using a VPN, proxy or similar tool to change your apparent IP address in order to get around geographic restrictions.
That distinction matters because Binance does not decide eligibility from your IP alone. Its compliance systems cross-check your IP against your KYC documents, the country of your bank card or payment method, your phone number, your device signals and your login history. If those all point to Spain and your IP suddenly says Brazil, that mismatch is a common trigger for extra verification, a withdrawal hold or a restricted account.

So the rule I follow and recommend is simple: use a VPN to protect your connection, never to change your eligibility. In practice, that means connecting to a server in the same allowed country where your account is verified.
Legitimate reasons to use a VPN with Binance
If you are an eligible user, there are four solid reasons to run a VPN while you trade. These are the scenarios I tested every VPN against.
1. Public and hotel Wi-Fi
Your login, your 2FA prompts and your withdrawal approvals all travel over a network you do not control when you trade from a café, airport or hotel. Binance already uses HTTPS, but a hostile or misconfigured Wi-Fi network can still attempt DNS hijacking, captive portal tricks or redirect you to a phishing clone. A VPN encrypts that first hop so the network operator cannot see or tamper with it. It does not replace Binance’s own 2FA, withdrawal whitelist or anti-phishing code.
2. Hiding exchange activity from your ISP
Without a VPN, your internet provider cannot read your orders, but it can see that you connect to Binance, how often and when. That metadata can be logged, sold or handed over. A no-logs VPN removes it from your ISP’s view entirely.
3. Travel within allowed countries
If your account is verified in an allowed country and you travel through other allowed countries, you can still trigger step-up checks or “restricted region” warnings from the sudden location change. Connecting to a server in your home country keeps your IP consistent with your file. That is location consistency, not disguise.
The travel exception has a limit. Binance’s terms apply based on where you are physically located. If you travel into a prohibited location, such as the United States, using a VPN to appear at home so you can keep trading is exactly the kind of circumvention the terms forbid. In that case, the safe move is to wait until you leave before trading.
4. Unstable or throttled routes
Some local networks and ISPs route exchange traffic badly or interfere with it. A fast VPN server close to you can clean up that path. Speed matters here: manual order entry, chart updates and API bots all feel latency, which is why speed retention weighs heavily in my ranking.

What a VPN does not do on Binance
A VPN does not change your tax residence, your KYC country or Binance’s licensing in your country. It does not hide on-chain transfers, which are public on the blockchain. It does not stop Binance freezing an account if your documents, card country and IP disagree. And it does not protect you from phishing sites, fake Binance apps or address poisoning, which cause far more lost funds than ISP snooping does.
Binance can also detect VPN use. Detection methods include known VPN IP ranges, WebRTC and DNS leaks, and suspicious behavior after a sudden location jump. Reported outcomes when a user from a prohibited jurisdiction is flagged include withdrawal-only mode, forced re-verification, suspension, and funds that are hard to recover with no local regulator on your side.
How I chose the best VPNs for Binance
For an eligible trader, the useful features are different from what a streaming or torrenting guide would prioritize. These are the criteria I scored every VPN against.
| Criterion | Why it matters on Binance |
|---|---|
| Kill switch | If the VPN drops mid-login, a kill switch blocks traffic so your real IP is not exposed for even one request, which can be enough to flag a session. |
| Audited no-logs policy | Your exchange activity is sensitive financial data. An independent audit is the only way to verify a no-logs claim. |
| Speed and latency | Order entry, live charts and API bots all suffer when a VPN slows your connection. |
| Obfuscation | Some hotel, office and public networks block or degrade VPN traffic. Obfuscation keeps the tunnel working. |
| Servers in your own allowed country | You want a server that matches your KYC country, ideally several, so you can switch if one IP is blocked. |
| Device limit | Most traders run Binance on a phone, a laptop and sometimes a desktop or bot server at the same time. |
| Leak protection | DNS, IPv6 and WebRTC leaks can reveal your real location even with the VPN on. |
| Dedicated IP option | Useful for restricting Binance API keys to a trusted IP address. |
VPN speed results for Binance trading
I measure speed retention as the share of my normal connection speed that survives with the VPN on, using nearby servers and the fastest protocol each app offers. Higher retention means snappier charts, faster order placement and lower latency for API connections.
| VPN | Speed retention in my tests | Verdict for trading |
|---|---|---|
| Surfshark One | ~96% | The fastest VPN I tested, barely noticeable while trading |
| IPVanish | ~93% | Excellent, very close to Surfshark |
| Proton VPN | ~92% | Excellent on paid plans |
| ExpressVPN | ~91% | Very good and very consistent |
| NordVPN | ~91% | Very good, but slower than Surfshark in my tests |
| VeePN | ~88% | Good for manual trading |
| CyberGhost | ~86% | Good, slight drop on distant servers |
| PrivateVPN | ~86% | Good, limited server choice |
| PrivadoVPN | ~85% | Fine for most users |
| PIA | ~84% | Fine for most users, slowest of the group |
The best VPNs for Binance in 2026: my detailed reviews
1. Surfshark One: Best VPN for Binance overall
Surfshark One is the VPN I recommend first for Binance, and it is not close. It is the fastest VPN in my testing at about 96% speed retention, it lets you connect unlimited devices on a single plan, and the One plan adds a full cybersecurity bundle on top of the VPN. For someone whose exchange account holds real money, that combination is hard to beat at $2.79 a month.
Surfshark One
Surfshark One is the VPN I recommend for Binance sessions. It covers every device a trader uses, it was the fastest VPN in my tests, and it bundles antivirus and breach alerts that matter when your exchange account is the target.
- Unlimited devices
- No-logs policy
- 100+ countries
- 24/7 support
- Unlimited devices on one plan
- Fastest VPN in my tests with 96% speed retention
- Deloitte-audited no-logs policy
- Antivirus and breach alerts included in One
- Netherlands jurisdiction so avoid Dutch servers for Binance
- Renewal price is higher than the intro deal
On the VPN side, you get around 4,500 servers in 100 countries, WireGuard for low latency, a kill switch, and CleanWeb, which blocks ads, trackers and known malware domains. That last one matters more than people think, because a lot of fake Binance pages are pushed through malicious ads. Camouflage Mode hides the fact that you are using a VPN on networks that block ordinary VPN traffic, and Dynamic MultiHop lets you route through two servers when you want extra privacy.
Surfshark’s no-logs policy has been independently checked by Deloitte, with engagements announced in 2023 and June 2025 under the ISAE 3000 standard. Its servers run in RAM-only mode, so nothing is written to disk. Apps cover Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and browser extensions, and you can pay with crypto on the website through a payment processor (not inside the mobile apps).

The One upgrade is where it pulls ahead for traders. Surfshark Antivirus scans for malware such as clipboard hijackers, which swap a copied wallet address for an attacker’s. Surfshark Alert monitors your email addresses for data breaches, so you know quickly if the email tied to your Binance account shows up in a leak. Surfshark Search gives you ad-free, tracker-free search results, which cuts down on sponsored phishing links. I covered the antivirus in depth in my Surfshark Antivirus review.
In my Binance testing, Surfshark loaded the exchange and the mobile app cleanly from servers in several allowed European, Asian and Latin American countries. When one server IP occasionally triggered an extra check, switching to another server in the same country solved it.
Important Surfshark tip for Binance: Surfshark is a Dutch company, and the Netherlands is a Nine Eyes country. More importantly for this use case, the Netherlands is on Binance’s prohibited list. Surfshark being based there does not route your traffic through the Netherlands, but you should never pick a Dutch server for a Binance session.
Surfshark has been part of the Nord Security group since 2022, but it runs on separate infrastructure from NordVPN. For the full breakdown, see my Surfshark One review.
What I liked
- Fastest VPN in my tests with about 96% speed retention
- Unlimited devices on every plan
- Deloitte-audited no-logs policy and RAM-only servers
- Antivirus, breach alerts and private search included in One
- Camouflage Mode, kill switch and CleanWeb on by default in my setup
- Crypto payment available on the website
What I didn’t like
- Netherlands jurisdiction, and Dutch servers must be avoided for Binance
- Renewal price is higher than the introductory deal
- Crypto checkout is not available inside the mobile apps
If you want the same setup I use, the current Surfshark One deal is the best value I have found for traders this year.
Get Surfshark One for 85% OFF
+ 3 months free, only $2.79/mo on the 2-year plan. Unlimited devices, antivirus and the fastest speeds in my tests.
2. IPVanish: Best for unlimited devices on a budget
IPVanish is the other VPN on this list with unlimited simultaneous connections, so it is the natural alternative if you run Binance across a lot of devices. It was also the second fastest VPN in my testing at about 93% speed retention, which kept charts and order entry responsive.
You get around 3,200 servers in a large spread of locations, with WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols, a kill switch, split tunneling and Scramble, an obfuscation feature that works with OpenVPN on restrictive networks. Split tunneling is handy if you want only your browser and the Binance app inside the tunnel while other apps use your normal connection.

Its no-logs claim is backed by an independent assessment by Schellman in 2025, following an earlier review by Leviathan. To be transparent, IPVanish had a logging incident in 2016, but that happened under a previous owner (Highwinds). The company is now owned by Ziff Davis in the US, which is a Five Eyes country, and that is a weaker jurisdiction story than Surfshark’s. Also remember that US servers are a poor choice for Binance.com, since the US is fully prohibited.
The current deal is 84% OFF plus a 3 GB eSIM data gift at $2.39 a month on the 24-month Essential plan. The eSIM gift is a nice extra for traders who travel. Full details are in my IPVanish review.
What I liked
- Unlimited devices
- About 93% speed retention in my tests
- Schellman-assessed no-logs policy
- Scramble obfuscation and split tunneling
What I didn’t like
- US jurisdiction, part of the Five Eyes alliance
- Past logging incident under a previous owner
- No security bundle comparable to Surfshark One at this price
3. Proton VPN: Best for privacy
Proton VPN is my pick for traders who care about privacy above everything else. It is based in Switzerland, outside the 14 Eyes alliance, its apps are open source, and its no-logs policy is audited on a recurring basis by Securitum. It was also very fast in my tests at about 92% speed retention on paid plans.
The network is very large, with well over 10,000 servers across more than 140 countries in Proton’s published figures. Its Stealth protocol is built for networks that try to detect and block VPNs, NetShield blocks malware, ads and trackers, and Secure Core routes your traffic through hardened servers in privacy-friendly countries before it exits. The kill switch worked reliably in my reconnect tests.

Proton is also the only serious free option here. The free plan has unlimited data, which is genuinely useful for testing your workflow, but server choice and speeds are much better on paid plans. Paid plans cover 10 devices, and the current deal is 70% OFF at $2.99 a month on the 2-year plan. You can also pay with crypto. My Proton VPN review goes deeper.
What I liked
- Swiss jurisdiction and open-source apps
- Recurring independent no-logs audits
- Stealth protocol and Secure Core multi-hop
- Free plan with unlimited data
What I didn’t like
- 10-device cap on paid plans
- Free plan has limited server choice
- Smaller discount than most rivals on this list
Still deciding between privacy and value? The full ranking puts all of these side by side.

See all VPN comparisons →4. PrivadoVPN: Cheapest VPN and best free VPN for Binance
PrivadoVPN is the cheapest option on this list and the best free VPN I tested. The current deal is 90% OFF plus 3 extra months at $1.11 a month on the 2-year plan, and the free tier gives you around 10 GB a month, which is enough to protect occasional logins on public Wi-Fi.
The company moved from Switzerland to Iceland in 2026 (Privado Networks ehf., near Reykjavík), with the change reflected in its privacy policy from 1 May 2026. Iceland sits outside the 14 Eyes, which is a strong privacy selling point. You get a kill switch, split tunneling, Threat Prevention and WireGuard, with paid plans covering 10 devices.

The honest downsides: the network is much smaller than the top picks, with a few hundred servers across roughly 60 countries. That is fine for major trading hubs but thin elsewhere. PrivadoVPN also has no published independent no-logs audit, and it was one of the slower VPNs in my tests at about 85% speed retention. See my PrivadoVPN review for more.
What I liked
- Lowest price on this list at $1.11 a month
- Free plan to test your Binance workflow
- Iceland jurisdiction, outside the 14 Eyes
- Kill switch and WireGuard
What I didn’t like
- No published independent no-logs audit
- Smaller server network
- About 85% speed retention, below the leaders
5. NordVPN: One of the fastest, but pricier
NordVPN is a strong all-rounder with one of the largest networks around, at more than 7,400 servers in over 120 countries. Its NordLynx protocol, based on WireGuard, delivered about 91% speed retention in my testing. That is very good, though Surfshark was faster in my tests and costs less.
For Binance sessions, NordVPN offers obfuscated servers for restrictive networks, Double VPN, Threat Protection against malicious sites and downloads, and a reliable kill switch. Its no-logs policy has been audited multiple times by Deloitte, it is based in Panama, and you can pay with crypto. It also offers a dedicated IP add-on.
Where it loses to Surfshark is price and devices. The current deal is 75% OFF plus 3 extra months at $3.59 a month on the Plus plan, and you are capped at 10 devices compared with Surfshark’s unlimited connections. If you want to see how they compare in detail, read my Surfshark vs NordVPN comparison or the full NordVPN review.
What I liked
- Huge server network
- NordLynx speeds and obfuscated servers
- Repeated Deloitte no-logs audits
- Crypto payments and dedicated IP option
What I didn’t like
- More expensive than Surfshark One
- 10-device cap
- Slower than Surfshark in my tests
6. VeePN: Budget option with Double VPN
VeePN is a low-cost option based in Panama, outside the 14 Eyes. The current deal is 83% OFF plus 4 extra months at $1.99 a month on the 2-year plan. It delivered about 88% speed retention in my tests, which is good enough for manual trading.
You get roughly 2,500 servers in more than 60 countries, WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 and Shadowsocks, a kill switch, split tunneling and Double VPN on higher tiers. Device limits depend on the plan, and the plan I recommend covers 10 devices.

The main weakness is scrutiny. VeePN’s no-logs claim is not backed by a published independent audit, and that is a real gap when the traffic involved is your exchange account. I treat it as a budget pick only. More in my VeePN review.
What I liked
- Low price at $1.99 a month
- Panama jurisdiction
- Shadowsocks and Double VPN available
What I didn’t like
- No published independent no-logs audit
- Device limit depends on the tier
- Mid-tier server coverage
7. ExpressVPN: Easiest VPN to use
ExpressVPN is my “set it and forget it” pick. It is based in the British Virgin Islands, outside the 5, 9 and 14 Eyes alliances, its TrustedServer network runs entirely on RAM, and it is the most audited VPN on this list, with multiple independent reviews including KPMG. It delivered about 91% speed retention in my tests.

Its Lightway protocol is built for phones that switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, which suits a trader checking positions throughout the day. You get around 3,000 servers in more than 105 countries, a kill switch (Network Lock), split tunneling, automatic obfuscation and a dedicated IP option. There is no multi-hop, and device limits range from 10 to 14 depending on the plan.
Ownership disclosure: ExpressVPN is owned by Kape Technologies, which also owns CyberGhost and PIA. The current deal is 78% OFF plus 4 extra months at $2.79 a month on the 2-year plan, which matches Surfshark One’s price but without unlimited devices or the security bundle. See my ExpressVPN review.
What I liked
- Simplest apps on this list
- Most audited no-logs policy
- Lightway handles network switching well
- Automatic obfuscation
What I didn’t like
- No multi-hop
- Device limit instead of unlimited connections
- Owned by Kape Technologies
- Expensive at renewal
8. CyberGhost: Longest money-back guarantee
CyberGhost’s standout feature is its 45-day money-back guarantee on longer plans, the longest on this list. It is based in Romania, outside the 14 Eyes, has a large network of more than 9,000 servers in 100 countries, and its no-logs policy has been audited by Deloitte. It delivered about 86% speed retention in my tests.
The apps are beginner friendly, with a kill switch, WireGuard and a dedicated IP add-on. The weaknesses for Binance users are the 7-device limit and the lack of a strong obfuscation feature for restrictive networks. CyberGhost is also owned by Kape Technologies. The current deal is 87% OFF plus 2 extra months at $1.75 a month on the 2-year plan. Read my CyberGhost review.
What I liked
- 45-day money-back guarantee
- Large server network
- Deloitte-audited no-logs policy
What I didn’t like
- Only 7 devices
- No strong obfuscation for restrictive networks
- Owned by Kape Technologies
9. PIA: Unlimited devices with open-source apps
Private Internet Access offers unlimited devices, open-source apps and a no-logs policy that has held up in court and been audited by Deloitte. It has servers in 91 countries, a kill switch, WireGuard, Shadowsocks obfuscation, port forwarding and a dedicated IP add-on. The current deal is 87% OFF plus 3 extra months at $1.59 a month on the 3-year plan.
The downsides for Binance: PIA is based in the US, a Five Eyes country, and its huge US server footprint is irrelevant for Binance.com, where the US is prohibited. It was also the slowest VPN in my tests at about 84% speed retention. PIA is owned by Kape Technologies. See my PIA review.
What I liked
- Unlimited devices
- Open-source apps and court-proven no-logs
- Very low 3-year price
What I didn’t like
- US jurisdiction
- Slowest VPN in my tests
- Owned by Kape Technologies
- Best price requires a 3-year commitment
10. PrivateVPN: Best for port forwarding
PrivateVPN is a small Swedish provider known for port forwarding and its Stealth VPN feature, which helps on networks that block VPN traffic. It covers 10 devices and delivered about 86% speed retention in my tests. The current deal is 85% OFF on the 3-year plan.
For Binance specifically, port forwarding is not a reason to pick it. The network is small at around 200 servers in more than 60 countries, Sweden is a 14 Eyes country, and there is no published independent no-logs audit. It is a reasonable niche choice, but the VPNs above it serve traders better. Read my PrivateVPN review.
What I liked
- Stealth VPN for restrictive networks
- Port forwarding
- 10 devices
What I didn’t like
- Small server network
- No published independent audit
- 14 Eyes jurisdiction

Looking at the table, Surfshark One is the only VPN that combines the top speed result, unlimited devices, a recent independent audit and a built-in security bundle. IPVanish and PIA match it on devices, but both are US-based and slower, and neither includes antivirus at this price.
Surfshark One: 85% OFF + 3 months free
$2.79/mo on the 2-year plan. The fastest VPN in my tests, unlimited devices and antivirus included.

How to set up a VPN for Binance the right way
This is the exact setup I use, and it keeps you on the right side of Binance’s terms while getting the full security benefit.
1
Pick a VPN with a kill switch and an audit
Install a VPN like Surfshark One on every device where you use Binance: phone, laptop and any desktop or server running a trading bot.
2
Connect to a server in your own verified country
Choose a server in the same allowed country as your KYC address. Never connect to a server in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands or any sanctioned territory for a Binance session.
3
Turn on the kill switch
Enable the kill switch in the app settings so a dropped connection never exposes your real IP mid-login or mid-withdrawal.
4
Use WireGuard for low latency
Select WireGuard (or NordLynx, Lightway or the provider’s fastest equivalent). On networks that block VPNs, switch to the obfuscated option such as Surfshark’s Camouflage Mode or Proton’s Stealth.
5
Test for DNS, IPv6 and WebRTC leaks
With the VPN connected, run a leak test in your browser. Your visible IP, DNS servers and WebRTC addresses should all belong to the VPN server, not your real connection.
6
Stay consistent
Use the same country every time you log in. Jumping between countries is one of the most common triggers for extra verification and withdrawal holds.
7
Lock down your Binance account too
Keep 2FA or a passkey enabled, turn on the withdrawal address whitelist, set an anti-phishing code and restrict API keys to trusted IPs. The VPN protects the connection; these settings protect the account.
Tip for API traders: Binance lets you restrict API keys to trusted IP addresses. If you run a trading bot behind a VPN, a dedicated IP add-on (offered by Surfshark, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, CyberGhost and PIA) gives you a fixed address you can whitelist. Choose the dedicated IP location in a country where your account is eligible.
What to do if Binance does not load with a VPN
Some VPN server IPs end up on exchange blocklists because they are shared by thousands of users. If Binance will not load, shows a CAPTCHA loop or asks for extra checks, here is what fixes it in my experience:
- Switch to a different server in the same allowed country. Do not switch countries.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies for Binance, then reload.
- Try a different protocol, such as moving from OpenVPN to WireGuard.
- Turn off ad blocking for Binance only if login buttons or verification widgets fail to appear.
- Consider a dedicated IP if you trade daily and keep hitting shared-IP checks.
- If Binance asks for re-verification, complete it honestly with your real documents. A matching IP and KYC country make this quick.
Risks of using a VPN with Binance
- Account restrictions: an IP country that does not match your KYC country, especially after a sudden jump, can trigger holds or limits.
- Loss of recourse: if an account is closed for a prohibited jurisdiction, you may have no local regulator to help you recover funds.
- Blacklisted IPs: some VPN servers simply will not load Binance. Rotate within the same country.
- Leaks: WebRTC, IPv6 or a failed reconnect without a kill switch can expose your real IP for a single request, which is enough to flag a session.
- False sense of security: a VPN does not stop phishing, fake apps, malicious browser extensions or address poisoning.
Beyond the VPN: protecting your Binance account
In my cybersecurity work, the crypto losses I see almost never come from someone reading ISP traffic. They come from phishing pages, fake apps, malware and social engineering. A VPN is one layer. These are the others I consider non-negotiable:
- Passkeys or app-based 2FA instead of SMS, which is vulnerable to SIM swapping.
- Withdrawal whitelist so funds can only go to addresses you approved in advance.
- Anti-phishing code so every genuine Binance email shows your personal code.
- Antivirus to catch clipboard hijackers and info-stealers. Surfshark One includes this.
- Breach monitoring for the email address tied to your exchange account. Surfshark Alert in the One plan does this.
- Bookmarks only: open Binance from a saved bookmark or the official app, never from search ads or links in messages.
- Check every address: verify the first and last characters of a wallet address before sending, to beat address poisoning.
My verdict: the best VPN for Binance in 2026
For eligible Binance users, Surfshark One is the best VPN in 2026. It was the fastest VPN in my tests at about 96% speed retention, it covers unlimited devices on one plan, its no-logs policy was audited by Deloitte as recently as 2025, and the One bundle adds antivirus, breach alerts and private search, which tackle the threats that actually drain crypto accounts. At $2.79 a month with 85% OFF and 3 months free, it is also the best value for traders I have found. Just remember to avoid Dutch servers for your Binance sessions.
If you want an alternative, IPVanish is the best second choice for unlimited devices and strong speeds, Proton VPN is the pick for maximum privacy, and PrivadoVPN is the cheapest option with a usable free plan.
Whichever VPN you choose, use it the right way: connect to your own allowed country, keep the kill switch on and never use it to trade from somewhere Binance does not serve.
Frequently asked questions
Is it illegal to use a VPN with Binance?
No, using a VPN is legal in most countries, and using one while you trade on Binance is not illegal in itself. It only becomes a legal issue in countries that ban VPNs or if it is used to evade sanctions. Always check your local laws.
Does using a VPN violate Binance’s terms?
Only if you use it to get around a geographic restriction. Binance’s terms prohibit using a VPN, proxy or similar tool to change your apparent location and circumvent restrictions. Using a VPN connected to your own allowed country for security and privacy is a different situation.
Can Binance detect if I use a VPN?
Yes, often. Binance can recognize known VPN IP ranges, catch DNS and WebRTC leaks and spot sudden location changes. It also compares your IP with your KYC documents, payment methods, phone number and login history. That is why matching your server to your verified country matters.
Which VPN server should I use for Binance?
Use a server in the same allowed country where your Binance account is verified. Avoid servers in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and sanctioned territories. If one server does not load Binance, try another server in the same country.
Will a VPN unlock Binance futures in the UK or other restricted countries?
It should not be used that way. Product availability depends on where you actually live and are located, not on your IP. Using a VPN to access products that are not offered in your country breaches Binance’s terms, and detection can lead to frozen funds or a closed account.
Can I use Binance.com from the US with a VPN?
No. The United States is on Binance’s prohibited list, which covers people located, resident or operating there, as well as US citizens. Americans should use Binance.US, which is a separate exchange. A VPN does not change your eligibility.
What is the best free VPN for Binance?
Proton VPN’s free plan is the strongest free option because it has unlimited data and an audited no-logs policy. PrivadoVPN’s free tier is also good for occasional logins. For daily trading, a paid plan such as Surfshark One gives you better speeds, more servers and more devices.
Do I need a VPN for the Binance mobile app?
It is a good idea when you use public, hotel or office Wi-Fi. The VPN encrypts the connection between your phone and the VPN server, so the network operator cannot monitor or tamper with your traffic. On your trusted home connection it adds privacy from your ISP rather than essential protection.
Should I keep the VPN on while traveling?
Yes, if you are traveling through countries where Binance is allowed. Connecting to a server in your home country keeps your IP consistent with your KYC file. If you travel to a prohibited location, Binance’s terms apply to you while you are there, so do not use a VPN to keep trading.
Does a VPN slow down Binance trading?
A good VPN barely does. Surfshark kept about 96% of my normal speed in my tests, so charts and orders felt the same as without a VPN. Slower VPNs and distant servers add latency, which matters most for API bots and fast manual trading.
What happens if Binance flags my account for VPN use?
Reported outcomes include extra verification, withdrawal-only mode, temporary holds and, for users in prohibited jurisdictions, suspension or closure. If you are eligible and your VPN server matches your verified country, completing re-verification with your real documents usually resolves it.
