Surfshark One+

★ 9.4/10

Surfshark One+ is the most complete personal security bundle Surfshark sells. You get the fastest VPN I have tested plus antivirus, breach alerts, private search, identity masking, and Incogni data-broker removal. It is overkill if you only want a VPN, but it is a strong upgrade if you care about your data footprint.

  • Fastest VPN in my tests
  • Unlimited VPN devices
  • Incogni data removal included
  • Antivirus and breach alerts
  • Identity theft coverage for eligible US residents
  • Incogni needs separate activation
  • Identity coverage excludes NY and Spain
  • Scam-call protection not live yet
  • Renewal price is higher than the promo

Surfshark One+ is the top tier of Surfshark’s personal security lineup, and it is the plan I get the most questions about. On paper it looks like a long list of extras bolted onto a VPN. In practice, the real difference between Surfshark One and One+ comes down to two things: Incogni, an automated data-broker removal service, and identity theft coverage for eligible US customers.

I have reviewed more than 500 VPN videos and tests across my two YouTube channels, and Surfshark keeps landing at the top of my list for value and speed. In this review I break down exactly what One+ includes, what it costs in USD, what is worth using, what is not, and who should skip it. The details below reflect Surfshark’s published information checked on 2 October 2026.

Short version: If you only need a VPN, a cheaper Surfshark plan is enough. If you want a VPN plus antivirus, breach alerts, and ongoing removal of your data from broker sites, One+ is the plan to look at.

What is Surfshark One+?

Surfshark One+ is a subscription that bundles several privacy and security tools under one account. It includes everything in Surfshark One and adds Incogni and identity theft coverage. Here is the full lineup:

  • Surfshark VPN for encrypted connections and IP masking
  • Surfshark Antivirus for malware protection on supported devices
  • Surfshark Alert for breach and leak monitoring
  • Surfshark Search for private, ad-free searching
  • Alternative ID for masked identities and email addresses
  • Scam protection tools including scam-text detection and an email scam checker
  • Incogni for automated personal data removal
  • Identity theft coverage for eligible US residents

Surfshark Starter vs One vs One+

Surfshark sells three tiers, and the names are a little confusing at first. This table shows what each one adds. Prices are in USD and are the monthly equivalent when you pay for the full term upfront.

FeatureStarterOneOne+

1-year price (per month)$3.39$3.59$7.49
Monthly plan$16.45$18.95$21.85

If you want the VPN and the antivirus but nothing else, Surfshark One is the plan I recommend most often for its quality-price ratio. One+ makes sense once you decide that Incogni and the identity coverage are worth the extra monthly cost.

Surfshark One+ Pricing in USD

Surfshark’s pricing changes with the subscription length, your location, taxes, and whatever promotion is running. The numbers below are the prices I found on Surfshark’s plan page in September 2026.

One+ planPrice per monthNotes
2-year plan$4.49Best value, billed upfront, extra free months usually included
1-year plan$7.49Billed upfront
Monthly plan$21.85Most expensive per month, most flexible

Keep in mind that the 2-year price is a prepaid offer. You are not billed $4.49 every month. You pay for the whole term at once, and the monthly figure is just the equivalent rate. I always tell my viewers to do the math on the total before checking out.

Renewal pricing: Surfshark renews subscriptions automatically at its standard, non-introductory rate, and taxes may be added. Check the renewal amount, billing period, and cancellation terms at checkout. Do not assume the promo rate lasts forever.

Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can test the whole bundle without much risk. For the current promo codes and bonus months, see my Surfshark coupon page.

Surfshark VPN: The Core of the Bundle

The VPN is still the reason most people buy Surfshark, and it is the same VPN you get on every plan. It encrypts the traffic between your device and the VPN server and replaces your public IP address with the server’s address. That protects your connection on public Wi-Fi and makes your real IP less visible to the websites you visit.

Speed

Speed is where Surfshark has impressed me most. In my testing, Surfshark kept roughly 95% of my original speed with the VPN on, which is the best result of any VPN I have tested. For comparison, here is how the main competitors compare in my results:

VPNSpeed retention in my tests
Surfshark~95%
IPVanish~92%
Proton VPN~92%
ExpressVPN~91%
NordVPN~89%

Unlimited devices

A paid Surfshark subscription supports unlimited simultaneous VPN connections. That means one account can cover every phone, laptop, tablet, and streaming device in your house. One important detail: the unlimited allowance applies to the VPN only. Other tools in the bundle have their own limits, and I cover those below.

Privacy and security features

  • Kill Switch cuts your internet access if the VPN connection drops unexpectedly.
  • Bypasser is Surfshark’s split tunneling, so selected apps or sites can connect outside the VPN.
  • Dynamic MultiHop routes your traffic through two VPN servers.
  • IP Rotator changes your VPN IP address periodically without disconnecting you.
  • CleanWeb blocks ads, trackers, and known malicious content. The browser extensions also offer cookie pop-up blocking.

Feature availability varies by operating system and by whether you use the app or the browser extension, so do not assume every tool works the same on every device.

Not included: Dedicated IP is a separate paid add-on, and Alternative Number (a virtual US phone number) is sold separately too. Buying One+ does not automatically unlock either one.

Surfshark Antivirus

Surfshark Antivirus is included in both One and One+. It offers real-time monitoring, manual scans, scheduled scans, and quarantine for suspicious files, and its malware database updates automatically. Webcam protection and some other security features are also available, although the exact feature set depends on your platform.

  • Supported systems: Windows 10 or later, macOS 12 Monterey or later, and Android 6 or later
  • Device limit: up to five devices
  • Not available: iPhone, iPad, and Linux do not get the same antivirus app

For everyday protection on a Windows or Mac computer, it does the job and saves you from buying a separate antivirus subscription. If you are a heavy iPhone or Linux user, keep in mind that this part of the bundle will not apply to you.

Surfshark Alert

Alert monitors for exposed personal information tied to your email addresses, credit cards, and supported identity documents. When it finds a relevant leak, it sends you a notification so you can act. If it flags a leaked password, for example, you now know to change it and check the affected account.

The key thing to understand is that Alert is a detection tool. A notification does not change your passwords, lock down your accounts, or remove the leaked data from the internet. Think of it as a smoke alarm, not a fire extinguisher. It is still very useful, because most people never find out about a breach until the damage is done.

Surfshark Search

Surfshark Search is a private search tool that returns results without ads and without tracking your searches for personalized advertising. It is included in both One and One+. It solves a different problem from the VPN: Search protects the search experience itself, while the VPN protects the connection between your device and the VPN server. Using private search does not make every site you visit afterward anonymous.

Alternative ID and Scam Protection

Alternative ID generates an alternative identity and email address that you can use when signing up for services. The masked email forwards messages to your real inbox, so you keep your usual details private and cut down on spam and data exposure. It is included in all Surfshark bundles.

The plan page also lists scam protection tools:

  • Scam-text detection to flag suspicious messages
  • Email scam checker to analyze suspicious emails (the Gmail checker is part of the Chrome extension)
  • Web-content blocking to restrict access to dangerous or unwanted sites

Heads up: Scam-call protection is currently marked “coming soon.” Do not count it as an available feature when you decide between plans.

Incogni: The Main Reason to Choose One+

If I had to name one reason to pay for One+ instead of One, it is Incogni. Data brokers and people-search sites collect and sell personal details such as your name, address, phone number, and more. Incogni automates the process of asking those companies to remove your information.

  • Surfshark describes coverage across more than 420 broker databases and people-search sites.
  • Incogni repeats removal requests when your information reappears.
  • You can track progress through the Incogni dashboard.

This is an ongoing removal service for covered sources. It is not a promise to erase every trace of you from the internet. It will not touch your social media posts, news articles, or sites that are not in its broker list. Still, shrinking your presence on people-search sites is one of the most practical ways to reduce spam, scam calls, and doxxing risk.

How to activate Incogni

Incogni does not start working just because you connect the VPN. You need to activate it separately.

1

Buy Surfshark One+

Choose the One+ plan at checkout and complete your purchase.

2

Open the activation email

Surfshark sends an email with the link to set up Incogni. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.

3

Create your Incogni account

Follow the steps to register your separate Incogni account.

4

Authorize data removal

Give Incogni permission to contact data brokers on your behalf. Once you do, requests begin and you can follow progress in the dashboard.

Regional eligibility: Surfshark lists Incogni availability for residents of the US, UK, EU, Switzerland, and Canada. EU countries, including Spain, are covered. If you live elsewhere, check eligibility before you buy.

Identity Theft Coverage

One+ also includes identity theft coverage for eligible US residents, excluding New York State. As advertised by Surfshark, the benefits include:

  • Reimbursement of up to $1,000,000 for qualifying identity restoration expenses
  • Up to $1,000 for qualifying mental-health counseling
  • Access to a licensed identity theft investigator

Read the fine print: These are conditional benefits, not guaranteed payouts after any scam or financial loss. Policy terms and exclusions apply. The coverage is also not available to residents of Spain or New York State.

If you are a US resident outside New York, this is a nice safety net on top of the rest of the bundle. If you are outside the US, ignore it when you compare value, because it will not apply to you. In that case Incogni is the extra that actually matters.

Surfshark One+ Pros and Cons

What I liked

  • Fastest VPN I have tested, with around 95% speed retention
  • Unlimited simultaneous VPN connections
  • Incogni removal across 420+ broker and people-search sites
  • Antivirus, breach alerts, private search, and masked identities in one subscription
  • Identity theft coverage for eligible US residents
  • Priced well below buying these tools separately
  • 30-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 live support

What I didn’t like

  • Incogni requires its own activation and account setup
  • Antivirus covers up to five devices and does not support iPhone, iPad, or Linux
  • Alert only notifies you and does not fix anything for you
  • Identity coverage is not available in Spain or New York State
  • Scam-call protection is still “coming soon”
  • Dedicated IP and Alternative Number cost extra
  • Renewal price is higher than the introductory offer

Who Should Buy Surfshark One+?

One+ is a good fit if:

  • You want a VPN and ongoing data-broker removal in the same subscription
  • You already planned to pay for antivirus and breach monitoring
  • You are a US resident (outside New York) who wants identity theft coverage
  • You are tired of spam calls, junk mail, and people-search sites listing your details

You can skip One+ if:

  • You mainly want a VPN for streaming, torrenting, or public Wi-Fi. A Starter or One plan will cover you for less.
  • You mostly use iPhone, iPad, or Linux, where the antivirus does not apply
  • You live somewhere Incogni is not available

If you already want antivirus and breach monitoring, the decision between One and One+ really comes down to whether Incogni is useful to you and whether you qualify for the identity theft benefits. If you do not qualify for the identity coverage, Incogni is the extra that justifies the price.

Surfshark One+ Alternatives

Surfshark is my top pick overall, but a few other VPNs are worth a look depending on your priorities:

  • IPVanish is a fast, budget-friendly option with unlimited devices.
  • Proton VPN is my pick if privacy is your main concern.
  • NordVPN is one of the fastest VPNs and offers its own bundle, though Surfshark was faster in my tests and costs less. See my Surfshark vs NordVPN comparison.

My Verdict on Surfshark One+

Surfshark One+ is the most complete plan Surfshark offers, and it is a genuinely strong bundle if you will use what is inside it. The VPN is the fastest I have tested, the antivirus and breach alerts cover the basics, and Incogni adds something most VPN subscriptions simply do not have: ongoing removal of your data from broker sites. The price is also reasonable for what you get.

It is not for everyone. If you only care about the VPN, you will end up paying for tools you never open. But if you want one subscription that covers your connection, your devices, and your data footprint, One+ is the plan I would pick. Because of the 30-day money-back guarantee, you can try it and see whether the extras fit your habits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Surfshark One and One+?

One+ includes everything in One and adds Incogni, which automates data removal requests to brokers and people-search sites, plus identity theft coverage for eligible US residents (excluding New York State).

How much does Surfshark One+ cost in USD?

On Surfshark’s plan page, One+ is $4.49 per month on the 2-year plan, $7.49 per month on the 1-year plan, and $21.85 for a single month. Longer plans are billed upfront, and taxes may apply depending on your location.

Does the price go up when my plan renews?

Yes. Surfshark renews subscriptions automatically at its standard non-introductory rate, and prices can vary. Check the renewal amount and cancellation terms at checkout.

Does Surfshark One+ include unlimited devices?

The VPN supports unlimited simultaneous connections. Other tools in the bundle have their own limits. For example, Surfshark Antivirus supports up to five devices.

Does Incogni start working automatically?

No. After you buy One+, you need to follow the activation email, create your Incogni account, and authorize it to contact data brokers for you. Connecting the VPN does not start removal requests.

Will Incogni remove everything about me from the internet?

No. It handles covered data brokers and people-search sites, which Surfshark describes as more than 420 sources. It repeats requests when information reappears, but it does not erase every mention of you online.

Is identity theft coverage available everywhere?

No. It is offered to eligible US residents, excluding New York State, and it is not available to residents of Spain. Benefits are conditional and subject to policy terms and exclusions.

Does Surfshark Antivirus work on iPhone?

No. Antivirus is available on Windows, macOS, and Android, and it does not offer the same app for iPhone, iPad, or Linux.

Is Dedicated IP included in One+?

No. Dedicated IP is a separate paid add-on. The same goes for Alternative Number, the virtual US phone number service.

Does Surfshark One+ have a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Surfshark advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try the full bundle and request a refund if it is not for you.
