Surfshark is my #1 recommendation for most people, and has been for two years running on my YouTube channel. At $1.88/month on the 2-year Starter plan, it’s cheaper than every other premium VPN I’d actually stake my name on — and it does things the expensive competitors don’t, most notably unlimited simultaneous device connections on every plan.
Surfshark’s no-logs policy has been audited twice by Deloitte, all servers run on RAM-only hardware (nothing persists across reboots), and the feature set — Nexus IP rotation, Everlink self-healing infrastructure, CleanWeb ad blocking, Alternative ID for disposable emails — matches or beats VPNs charging 2–3× more. In my testing, it reliably unblocks Netflix (US, UK, JP), Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer.

It’s based in the US — which is worth noting for privacy-focused buyers — but runs a zero-logs policy, supports WireGuard and OpenVPN, and has 2,400+ servers across 135+ locations.

It’s Swiss-based (outside the 5/9/14 Eyes intelligence-sharing alliances), P2P is supported on all servers, and the premium plan gives you 10 simultaneous connections.
Best for: Users who want to test a VPN before paying, anyone on a strict budget, light-usage users whose 10GB/month would cover their needs, people in countries where a credit card commitment is a barrier.
Worth knowing honestly: PrivadoVPN has not yet published an independent no-logs audit — a notable gap when NordVPN, Surfshark, and Proton have all been audited multiple times. The Swiss jurisdiction and clean record are reassuring, but they’re not a substitute for third-party verification. If audited no-logs assurance matters to you, Proton VPN or Surfshark are stronger picks at similar price points.

3. NordVPN — Fastest VPN I’ve Tested ($3.09/mo)
NordVPN consistently delivers the best raw speeds of any VPN I’ve tested over the past two years, thanks primarily to its proprietary NordLynx protocol (built on WireGuard). If you have a gigabit connection and don’t want your VPN to bottleneck your bandwidth, this is the one.

It’s not as well-reviewed as the top-tier players on this list, but it has carved out a niche for users who want a low-cost VPN specifically for unblocking streaming content and aren’t willing to pay Surfshark or NordVPN prices.

Its apps are the most polished in the industry, its Lightway protocol delivers consistently fast speeds, and it works reliably in countries with heavy VPN restrictions (China, UAE, Russia) where others fail.
The current G2 gaming partnership deal has brought ExpressVPN’s price down to $2.79/month on the 2-year Basic plan — a historic low and, at current pricing, actually cheaper than NordVPN. The Advanced plan bundles in password management and cyber insurance features. Renewal is at the standard $99.95/year rate.

CyberGhost runs 11,000+ servers across 100+ countries — the largest server network of any VPN on this list by a significant margin. It’s also the only VPN here with a 45-day money-back guarantee (vs. 30 days for every other provider), which is genuinely the longest risk-free trial window in the industry.
The current deal takes 84% off the 2-year plan plus 4 free months, landing at $2.03/month ($56.94 for 28 months). CyberGhost includes dedicated streaming-optimized servers, P2P-optimized servers, and a reasonably polished app experience. Feature set is solid across the board.

PIA offers one of the lowest prices on this list when you’re willing to commit to a 3-year plan: $1.98/month for 36 months + 3 free months ($79 total for 39 months). That’s the cheapest per-month VPN you can buy from a recognized provider right now, if you’re comfortable with a 3-year commitment.
PIA is feature-rich despite the low price — it includes its own DNS servers, a built-in ad blocker (MACE), and granular automation controls. It’s also one of the few VPNs with court-verified no-logs (its no-logs policy has been tested in multiple US court cases and held up). Unlimited simultaneous connections match Surfshark and IPVanish.
Best for: Users willing to commit to 3 years to lock in the lowest price, torrenters (PIA has strong P2P support and port forwarding on select servers), feature-focused users who want granular control.
Worth knowing: PIA is based in the US (within 5 Eyes jurisdiction) and is owned by Kape Technologies. Streaming performance is inconsistent — it can work well on specific servers for specific platforms, but it’s not the set-and-forget streaming experience that CyberGhost or Surfshark deliver. Speeds fluctuate more than NordVPN or Proton. If streaming is your primary use case, CyberGhost or Surfshark are better picks at similar prices.

Who Should Wait to Buy
Two honest flags before you click anything:
If you only need a VPN for a week or two (traveling abroad, for example), don’t buy a 2-year plan. Use the 30-day money-back guarantee as a de facto free trial. Pay upfront, cancel within 30 days, request a full refund. I’ve tested this personally with Surfshark, NordVPN, and Proton — money back within 5 business days, no friction.
If you’re within 4–6 weeks of Black Friday (late November), prices drop another $0.10–$0.30/mo on most providers. If you can wait, you’ll save $5–$15 over the first term. Every deal on this page works roughly the same way. Here’s the process:
Step 1 — Click the deal link
Click any “Claim deal” button in the table above or on the individual VPN deal pages. You’ll land on the VPN’s official pricing page with the promo pre-applied. Before you continue, confirm the price matches what I listed. If it’s higher, the deal may have changed — email me and I’ll investigate and update.
Step 2 — Pick your plan
For every VPN on this page, the 2-year plan (or 3-year for PIA) is the best value. Monthly plans have no discount and cost 4–6× more per month. Avoid them unless you have a specific short-term reason.
Step 3 — Enter the coupon code if applicable
Most deals on this page apply automatically when you click through my affiliate link. A few providers offer exclusive codes through select partners — if one applies, it’ll be clearly marked on that VPN’s individual deal page. Look for the “Promo code” or “Coupon” field at checkout (usually below the payment method) and enter the code exactly as shown. The price on the right should drop immediately.
Step 4 — Watch for upsells at checkout
Nearly every VPN pre-checks additional products or services on the checkout page — dedicated IPs, extra antivirus, cloud backup, identity protection. Uncheck these unless you specifically want them. The base VPN does what you came for.
Step 5 — Pay and start the 30-day (or 45-day for CyberGhost) clock
All major VPNs accept credit card, PayPal, and most accept crypto. Once you’ve paid, your money-back guarantee window starts. If the VPN doesn’t work for you, cancel and request a refund within that window.

- Check competitor deal pages to confirm my listed deal is competitive or better.
- Update the page with current prices, plan changes, and the “Last verified” timestamp.

Frequently Asked VPN Deal Questions
How often are the deals on this page updated?
Every Monday, without exception. If a VPN launches a significantly better deal mid-week (which happens — Surfshark and Proton both dropped notable new promos in the last 90 days), I update that specific entry within 24 hours. The “Last verified” timestamp at the top of this page tells you exactly when it was last checked.
When’s the best time to buy a VPN?
Black Friday and Cyber Monday (late November) are typically the lowest prices of the year, especially for Surfshark, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and CyberGhost. Christmas and New Year also see strong deals but usually not quite as deep as Black Friday. Spring and summer deals are incremental — you’ll save $0.10–$0.30 per month vs. April pricing, not enough to wait if you need a VPN now.
If your VPN need is urgent, buy today. If your need is optional and you can wait until late October, the Black Friday deals will be meaningfully better.
Can I combine two coupon codes?
No. Every VPN affiliate program I’ve worked with allows one code per purchase. The codes on this page are already the best single code I can get you.
What happens when my plan renews?
This is the single biggest honesty issue with VPN deals — every VPN does it. Your discounted 2-year plan auto-renews at the standard 1-year rate, not the discounted rate. For NordVPN, that’s around $139/year. For Surfshark, around $60/year. For ExpressVPN, around $100/year.
How to avoid the renewal price: Go into your account settings after buying and disable auto-renewal. When your 2-year term ends, your subscription will expire. Then buy a new 2-year plan at the current promo pricing (these deals are perpetual). You’ll save hundreds over the long term.

Is it safe to buy a VPN through your affiliate link?
Yes. Affiliate links redirect you to the VPN’s official website — I don’t process your payment, don’t see your payment details, and don’t touch your account. The commission I earn comes from the VPN’s marketing budget, not your price. The deals on this page are the same price as you’d pay going direct.
What if I find a better VPN deal elsewhere?
Send it to me. If it’s a legitimate, verifiable deal that’s better than what I’m listing, I’ll update this page and credit you. I’d rather lose a single commission than miss a better deal because of pride.
Do these deals work outside the US?
Yes, all the VPNs on this page are available globally except in a small number of restricted countries (mainly those with VPN bans). Pricing is typically shown in USD but charged in your local currency at the prevailing rate. Some VPNs run regional pricing — what you see at checkout may differ slightly if you’re buying from Spain, the UK, India, etc. The discount percentage stays the same.
Can I use a free trial instead of paying?
Four options here: PrivadoVPN has a genuine free tier with 10GB/month and no time limit. Proton VPN has a free tier with no time limit but limited features. Surfshark offers a 7-day free trial via mobile apps. NordVPN offers a 7-day free trial on iOS and Android via app stores.
For the others, the 30-day (or 45-day for CyberGhost) money-back guarantee acts as a functional free trial: you pay upfront, test the full service, cancel and request a refund if not satisfied.
