Surfshark One
Surfshark One is my top VPN for adult sites in 2026: the fastest VPN I have tested, with CleanWeb blocking the aggressive ads these sites are known for. It covers unlimited devices for $2.49/mo.

Porn sites are being blocked at a faster rate than ever. Internet providers, workplaces, schools and entire governments restrict adult content, and in many US states, age verification laws have pushed platforms like Pornhub to block access entirely rather than comply.
If you’ve tried to load a site and gotten nothing but an error page, location restrictions are almost certainly why. A VPN fixes that by masking your real IP address and routing your traffic through a server in a different location.
I’ve been testing VPNs full time for over three years across 600+ videos on my AllThingsVPN and VPNR channels. I tested every VPN on this list hands-on for speed, unblocking and privacy, and these are the best VPNs for porn in 2026.

How I Tested These VPNs
I ran every VPN through the same hands-on process I use for my YouTube reviews. Each one had to pass on speed, unblocking and privacy before it made this list.
- Speed: I measured my connection without a VPN, then on the nearest recommended server with each VPN’s fastest protocol, and averaged several runs.
- Unblocking: I tried major adult platforms from servers in unrestricted US states and in Europe, including from states where those sites block access.
- Ad and malware blocking: I loaded the same adult sites with each VPN’s built-in blocker on, on desktop and mobile.
- Privacy: I checked audits, ownership, jurisdiction and server setup, such as RAM-only hardware.
- Pricing: I confirmed each deal, bonus and refund policy at checkout.
Speed Test Results
Speed retention is the share of my normal connection speed each VPN kept while connected. Anything above 90% handles 4K video without buffering.
| VPN | Speed retention | Streaming quality |
|---|---|---|
| Surfshark One | ~96% | Smooth 4K, fastest in my tests |
| IPVanish | ~93% | Smooth 4K |
| Proton VPN | ~92% | Smooth 4K |
| NordVPN | ~91% | Smooth 4K |
| ExpressVPN | ~91% | Smooth 4K |
| VeePN | ~88% | HD and most 4K |
| CyberGhost | ~86% | HD |
| PrivadoVPN | ~85% | HD |
Surfshark One kept the most speed of any VPN I tested, which is why it’s my top pick even though cheaper options exist. Every VPN here is fast enough for HD, but the top five are the ones I’d pick for 4K.
Surfshark One: 87% OFF + 3 months free
The fastest VPN in my tests, with CleanWeb ad blocking, Antivirus and unlimited devices, for $2.49/mo on the 2-year plan.
1. Surfshark One: Best Overall VPN for Porn Sites
Surfshark One is my top recommendation for porn in 2026, and it’s not particularly close. In my speed tests, it kept about 96% of my base connection speed, the highest of any VPN I’ve tested.
Surfshark One
Surfshark One is my top VPN for adult sites in 2026: the fastest VPN I have tested, with CleanWeb blocking the aggressive ads these sites are known for. It covers unlimited devices for $2.49/mo.
- Fastest VPN I have tested
- Unlimited devices
- No-logs policy
- Antivirus
- 4500+ servers
- CleanWeb
- 100+ countries
- 24/7 support
- Alternative ID
- Scam protection
- Alert
- Fastest VPN I have tested
- CleanWeb blocks ads and trackers on adult sites
- Unlimited devices
- Camouflage Mode hides VPN use from your ISP
- RAM-only servers with an audited no-logs policy
- Based in the Netherlands within Nine Eyes
- Renews at a higher standard rate
- No free plan
That speed means smooth 4K streaming, zero buffering and no quality drops mid-session. It also handled live cam sites without lag on both US and European servers.
Unblocking performance
During testing, Surfshark unblocked Pornhub, XVideos, xHamster, Chaturbate, LiveJasmin and Xnxx, including from US states where these platforms restrict access. Connecting through a New York server bypassed state-level blocks without any extra setup.
Privacy setup
Surfshark is based in the Netherlands, part of the Nine Eyes alliance, which sounds concerning. Its audited no-logs policy and RAM-only servers mean there’s nothing to hand over even if requested, because RAM servers wipe themselves on every reboot.
Camouflage Mode also hides the fact that you’re using a VPN from your ISP. That’s useful on networks that flag or throttle VPN traffic.
CleanWeb and the Surfshark One bundle
I ran CleanWeb on several adult sites, and it outperformed every other VPN’s ad blocker I tested. It worked best on mobile, where pop-ups and redirect ads are usually the most aggressive.
The Surfshark One plan adds a full security bundle on top of the VPN, which is worth having on sites with questionable ad networks:
- Surfshark Antivirus: real-time protection against malware from shady downloads and ads
- Surfshark Alert: breach monitoring for your email addresses, cards and IDs
- Alternative ID: a second identity and email for site sign-ups, so your real details stay private
- Scam protection: warnings about scam websites and suspicious links
The Surfshark One deal
- Price: $2.49/mo on the 2-year plan, 87% OFF
- Total: $67.23 billed upfront for the first 27 months
- Bonus: 3 extra months free
- Devices: unlimited
- Guarantee: 30-day money-back
What I liked
- Fastest VPN I’ve tested, at about 96% speed retention
- CleanWeb works exceptionally well on adult sites
- Unlimited devices on one account
- RAM-only servers with an audited no-logs policy
- Antivirus, Alert and Alternative ID included
What I didn’t like
- Based in the Netherlands, within Nine Eyes
- No free plan, only a 7-day trial on mobile
- Renews at a higher standard rate

2. IPVanish: Fast, Affordable, Unlimited Devices
IPVanish is a solid choice if you want a fast, no-nonsense VPN for adult content without paying much. At $2.19/mo on the 24-month Essential plan, it’s one of the cheapest premium options here, and like Surfshark it allows unlimited connections.
IPVanish
IPVanish is a fast, affordable VPN for adult sites with unlimited devices and consistently quick WireGuard speeds. It came second in my speed tests and costs $2.19/mo on the Essential plan.
- Advanced encryption
- Global high-speed VPN
- Threat Protection
- Live 24/7 chat
- 3 GB eSIM data
- Unlimited devices
- Verified no-logs policy
- 3200+ servers in 150 regions
- 30-day money-back guarantee
- Unlimited devices
- Second fastest in my tests
- Threat Protection included
- Independently audited no-logs policy
- 3 GB eSIM data gift
- Based in the US within Five Eyes
- Threat Protection is weaker than CleanWeb
- Monthly plans are not refundable
In my speed tests, IPVanish kept about 93% of my base connection speed. That’s more than enough for smooth HD and 4K streaming, and I got buffer-free playback on servers in the US and Europe.
The privacy side is more nuanced. IPVanish is based in the United States, the heart of the Five Eyes alliance, which isn’t ideal from a jurisdiction standpoint.
However, its no-logs policy has been independently audited twice, by Schellman and Leviathan Security Group. It’s not my first choice for maximum anonymity, but for everyday use it’s perfectly reasonable.
The IPVanish deal
- Price: $2.19/mo on the 24-month Essential plan, 85% OFF
- Total: $52.56 for the first 24 months
- Bonus: a 3 GB eSIM data gift
- Included: Threat Protection, unlimited devices and live 24/7 chat
What I liked
- Unlimited simultaneous connections
- Fast WireGuard speeds, at about 93%
- Budget-friendly pricing
- Independently audited no-logs policy
What I didn’t like
- Based in the US, a Five Eyes country
- Threat Protection isn’t as robust as Surfshark’s CleanWeb
- Monthly plans aren’t refundable

3. Proton VPN: Best for Privacy, Includes a Free Plan
If privacy is your main concern when browsing adult content, Proton VPN is the strongest option available. It’s headquartered in Switzerland, with strong privacy laws and no membership in the Five, Nine or Fourteen Eyes alliances.
Proton VPN
Proton VPN has the strongest privacy credentials on this list, with Swiss jurisdiction, open-source apps and an audited no-logs policy. Its free plan has no data cap, and VPN Plus costs $2.99/mo.
- Open source
- Swiss privacy laws
- No-logs audited
- 10 devices
- 20000+ servers in 140+ countries
- NetShield ad and malware blocker
- Streaming support
- Priority support and live chat
- Free plan available
- Swiss jurisdiction outside surveillance alliances
- Open-source audited apps
- Free plan with no data cap
- Servers organized by US state
- NetShield blocks ads and malware
- Free plan does not let you choose a location
- Pricier than Surfshark One
- Prorated refunds
Its no-logs policy has been independently audited, and its apps are fully open source, so anyone can inspect the code. In my speed tests, Proton kept about 92% of my speed, fast enough for 4K without interruption.
Proton’s network of 20,000+ servers in 140+ countries makes it especially useful for getting around regional restrictions. Servers are organized by US state, which is handy for sites blocked at the state level.
Its NetShield feature blocked ads and malicious scripts effectively on the adult sites I tested. VPN Plus also includes priority support and live chat.
The free plan
Unlike most free VPNs, Proton’s free tier has no data cap, so you can stream as much as you want. The catch is that you can’t manually choose your server location, so it won’t reliably bypass specific geo-blocks.
The Proton VPN deal
- Price: $2.99/mo on the 2-year VPN Plus plan, 70% OFF
- Total: $71.76 billed upfront for 24 months
- Bonus: none, Proton doesn’t add extra months
- Devices: 10 simultaneous connections
What I liked
- Swiss jurisdiction, an excellent privacy foundation
- Open-source apps anyone can verify
- Free plan with no data limits
- Huge network of 20,000+ servers in 140+ countries
- NetShield ad and malware blocker works well
What I didn’t like
- Free plan won’t let you choose a server location
- More expensive than Surfshark One on paid plans
- Refunds are prorated, not full

PrivadoVPN earns its place here mainly on price. At $1.11/mo, just $30 for the first 27 months, it’s the cheapest paid VPN on this list, and its free plan is genuinely usable for occasional browsing.
PrivadoVPN
PrivadoVPN is the cheapest paid VPN on this list at $1.11/mo, with a capable free plan and a built-in ad blocker. It is Iceland-based, though it was the slowest VPN on this list and has no independent audit yet.
- Iceland-based
- Unlimited data
- 200+ servers in 66 cities
- 10 connections
- SOCKS5 proxy
- Ad blocker
- Zero-log policy
- Free plan available
- Lowest price on this list

- Built-in ad blocker
- Unlimited data on paid plans

Speed came in at about 85% retention in my tests, the lowest on this list but still fine for standard HD streaming. The paid plan includes unlimited data, 10 connections, a SOCKS5 proxy and an ad blocker.
PrivadoVPN is based in Iceland, outside the 5/9/14 Eyes alliances. If your budget is the main constraint, it’s worth a look.
The PrivadoVPN deal
- Price: $1.11/mo on the 2-year plan, 90% OFF
- Total: $30 for the first 27 months
- Bonus: 3 extra months free
- Free plan: 10GB a month, no credit card needed

5. NordVPN: Strong Security, Large Server Network
NordVPN is a genuinely excellent VPN, and I have no complaints about its performance for porn. It unblocked every adult site I tested, including Pornhub, XVideos and Chaturbate.
NordVPN
NordVPN Complete adds antivirus and download scanning to a fast VPN with a long audit record, which helps on risky adult sites. At $4.49/mo it costs nearly double Surfshark One, which was faster in my tests.
- Secure fast VPN
- Next-gen antivirus
- Scam and spam protection
- Ad and tracker blocking
- Phishing detection
- Malware defense
- Bank transaction monitoring
- Identity and SSN monitoring
- Call and message protection
- Password manager
- 1 TB cloud storage
- Threat Protection Pro scans downloads for malware
- Next-gen antivirus and scam protection
- Multiple independent no-logs audits
- Panama jurisdiction
- Password manager and 1 TB cloud storage
- One of the most expensive options on this list
- Slower than Surfshark One in my tests
- 10 devices instead of unlimited
Its Threat Protection Pro goes further than most VPN ad blockers by scanning downloaded files for malware, not just blocking ads. That’s a real advantage if you ever download videos.
NordVPN is based in Panama, outside any intelligence alliance, and its no-logs policy has passed multiple independent audits. RAM-only servers mean no data persists between sessions.
In my speed tests, it hit about 91% speed retention. That’s fast, but behind Surfshark, which was consistently quicker in my head-to-head tests.
The NordVPN Complete deal
- Price: $4.49/mo on the 2-year Complete plan, 75% OFF
- Total: $121.23 for the first 27 months
- Bonus: 3 extra months free
- Included: antivirus, scam protection, password manager, 1 TB cloud storage and identity monitoring
My honest take: NordVPN Complete costs nearly double Surfshark One and limits you to 10 devices instead of unlimited. Pick it if you specifically want download scanning and a password manager from one company.
What I liked
- Threat Protection Pro scans downloads for malware
- Multiple independent no-logs audits
- Panama jurisdiction, no surveillance alliance ties
- Large network of 9,300+ servers in 137 countries
What I didn’t like
- Nearly double the price of Surfshark One
- Limited to 10 simultaneous connections
- Slower than Surfshark in my speed tests

Faster than NordVPN for less: Surfshark One
Surfshark One beat NordVPN in my speed tests and covers unlimited devices, at $2.49/mo with 88% OFF and 3 extra months.
6. VeePN: Budget Option for Casual Streaming
VeePN is a decent choice if you’re on a tight budget and mainly want to unblock adult streaming sites. Its Pro plan is 86% OFF at $2.49/mo with 4 extra months.
VeePN
VeePN Pro is a budget option that unblocks major adult platforms and now bundles antivirus, an ad blocker and Alternative ID. At $2.49/mo it matches Surfshark One on price, but it was slower in my tests.

- Panama-based outside the 14 Eyes
- No independent no-logs audit
- Same price as the faster Surfshark One
- 10 devices only
In my tests, VeePN kept about 88% of my base speed and had no trouble accessing the major adult platforms. It doesn’t have the privacy credentials of Surfshark or Proton VPN, but for casual use it gets the job done.
The VeePN Pro deal
- Price: $2.49/mo on the 2-year Pro plan, 86% OFF
- Total: $69.72 for the first 28 months
- Bonus: 4 extra months free
- Included: antivirus, ad blocker, Alternative ID, Breach Alert and private AI chat on 10 devices
At $2.49/mo, VeePN Pro costs exactly the same as Surfshark One. Surfshark was faster in my tests and covers unlimited devices, so it’s the better value for most people.
What I liked
- Unblocked the major adult platforms I tested
- Antivirus and ad blocker included on Pro
- Alternative ID keeps your real email off sign-ups
What I didn’t like
- No independent no-logs audit
- Same price as the faster Surfshark One
- Fewer advanced privacy features than my top picks

7. ExpressVPN: Easiest to Use, Solid All-Rounder
ExpressVPN is the easiest VPN on this list to use: you download the app, connect, and it works. If you’re new to VPNs or just want something uncomplicated, it’s a strong pick.
ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN Advanced is the simplest VPN on this list and now blocks ads, trackers and malicious sites on 12 devices. It is owned by Kape Technologies, which also owns CyberGhost, and at $4.49/mo it costs far more than Surfshark One.
- 12 simultaneous devices
- Advanced Protection
- Blocks ads and trackers
- Blocks malicious and adult sites
- Lightway protocol
- 3000+ servers in 113 countries
- Dedicated IP add-on available
- Most beginner-friendly apps on this list
- Fast Lightway protocol
- Built-in obfuscation on all servers
- Advanced Protection blocks ads and malicious sites
- 12 simultaneous devices
- Owned by Kape Technologies
- One of the most expensive options on this list
- Dedicated IP is a paid add-on
Speed-wise, it hit about 91% retention in my tests, more than enough for 4K. Its Lightway protocol and built-in obfuscation handle ISP-level blocks and VPN detection without extra setup.
The Advanced plan includes Advanced Protection, which blocks ads, trackers and malicious sites. It also has an adult site filter, so make sure that option is off if you want to reach adult content.
The ExpressVPN Advanced deal
- Price: $4.49/mo on the 2-year Advanced plan, 73% OFF
- Total: $125.72 for the first 28 months
- Bonus: 4 extra months free

What I liked
- Incredibly easy to use, great for beginners
- RAM-only servers with built-in obfuscation
- Fast and reliable, at about 91%
- Advanced Protection blocks ads and malicious sites
What I didn’t like
- Owned by Kape Technologies
- One of the two most expensive VPNs on this list
- Dedicated IP costs extra

8. CyberGhost: 45-Day Guarantee, Streaming-Optimized Servers
CyberGhost’s main draw is its 45-day money-back guarantee on qualifying plans, the longest on this list. That gives you a month and a half to test it properly before committing.
CyberGhost
CyberGhost lets you test a VPN for adult sites risk free for 45 days, with dedicated streaming servers in 100 countries for $2.19/mo. It is owned by Kape Technologies, the same company behind ExpressVPN and PIA.
- 11600+ servers
- 100 countries
- Streaming servers
- P2P servers
- WireGuard
- 7 devices
- 45-day money-back guarantee
- 45-day money-back guarantee
- Dedicated streaming servers
- Biggest server network on this list
- Beginner-friendly apps
- Owned by Kape Technologies

- Only 7 devices
Its dedicated streaming servers are tuned for consistent video performance, and in my tests it reached about 86% speed retention. That’s reliable for HD adult content, though slower than my top picks.
Like ExpressVPN, CyberGhost is owned by Kape Technologies. It’s worth factoring in if you care strongly about ownership and corporate transparency.
The CyberGhost deal
- Price: $2.19/mo on the 2-year plan, 83% OFF
- Total: $56.94 for the first 26 months
- Bonus: 2 extra months free

Why You Need a VPN to Watch Porn
There are more reasons to use a VPN for adult content than most people realize. Here’s what happens when you browse without one:
- Geo-blocks and state-level bans: many US states now require age verification for adult sites, and some platforms block those states entirely rather than collect ID data.
- ISP tracking and throttling: your internet provider can see every site you visit and may slow down video streaming. A VPN encrypts your traffic, so your ISP only sees an encrypted tunnel.
- Malicious ads and trackers: adult sites are notorious for aggressive ads, including malware-laced ones. A VPN with a built-in blocker, like Surfshark’s CleanWeb, stops them before they load.
- Regional content differences: some adult content is region-locked, and a server in another country can open up platforms you couldn’t otherwise reach.
Where Is Porn Blocked? Country and US State Overview
| Restriction level | Countries and regions |
|---|---|
| Outright ban | Afghanistan, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Pakistan, North Korea, Qatar, Kuwait and others |
| Restricted or partially blocked | India, Russia, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and others |
| Age verification required | UK, France, Germany, Australia, Italy and many US states |
US states with age verification laws
The list keeps growing, so check your own state’s current rules. At my last update, these states had age verification or access restrictions in place:
- Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas
- Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina
- Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia
In many of these states, platforms like Pornhub chose to block access entirely rather than implement ID checks. Connecting through a server in a state without these laws, such as New York or California, gets around the block.
Can You Use a Free VPN for Porn?
In short, I don’t recommend it. Most free VPNs have tight data limits, throttled speeds and very few servers, and some have been caught logging activity, injecting ads or bundling malware.
The one exception is Proton VPN’s free tier: no data cap, no logging and an audited no-logs policy, though you can’t choose your server. PrivadoVPN’s free plan also works for occasional use, with 10GB a month.
A smarter move is to use a money-back guarantee. Surfshark gives you 30 days to try the full product risk free, which is plenty of time to test it properly.
How to Unblock Porn Sites With a VPN: Step by Step
Get Surfshark (or another VPN from this list)
Sign up at Surfshark’s website and download the app for your device. It works on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Linux.
Install and log in
The installation takes under two minutes. Log in with your account details once it’s installed.
Turn on CleanWeb and the kill switch
In Surfshark’s settings, turn on CleanWeb to block ads and trackers on adult sites. Then activate the kill switch so your real IP never leaks if the connection drops.
Connect to a server in an unrestricted location
Choose a server in a state or country where the site isn’t blocked. For most US state bans, a New York or California server works well.
Browse privately
Your traffic is now encrypted and your real IP is hidden. Visit the site as normal, and it should load without restrictions.
Other Ways to Watch Porn Privately (Without a VPN)
A VPN is the most complete solution, but these options are worth knowing about, along with their limits:
- Incognito mode: stops your browser from saving history, cookies and cache, but does nothing to hide your activity from your ISP or bypass geo-blocks.
- Tor Browser: routes your traffic through multiple nodes for strong privacy, but it’s far slower than a VPN, which makes video frustrating.
- Proxy servers: change your apparent IP but don’t encrypt your traffic, and free proxies carry their own privacy risks.
- Ad blocker extensions: block malicious ads and trackers but don’t hide your IP or bypass restrictions, so use one alongside a VPN.
What to Do if a VPN Isn’t Unblocking an Adult Site
If you’re connected to a VPN but still can’t reach a site, try these fixes in order:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies: your browser may have cached the blocked version of the page.
- Switch servers: try another server in the same country or a different city, since crowded servers sometimes get flagged.
- Change the VPN protocol: in Surfshark, switch from WireGuard to IKEv2 or OpenVPN, or turn on Camouflage Mode.
- Try a different browser: some browsers cache location data, so a fresh session can help.
- Switch VPN providers: if one VPN keeps failing, Surfshark and Proton VPN were my most reliable options for adult sites.
FAQ
What is the best VPN to unblock adult content?
Surfshark One is my top pick for 2026. It’s the fastest VPN I’ve tested at about 96% speed retention, unblocked every adult platform I tried, and its CleanWeb feature blocks the aggressive ads common on these sites. It covers unlimited devices for $2.49/mo on the 2-year plan.
Is it legal to use a VPN to watch porn?
In most countries, yes: using a VPN is legal, and so is accessing adult content as an adult. In countries where adult content is banned outright, such as Saudi Arabia or China, using a VPN to reach it may still carry legal risk. Always check what’s legal where you live.
Can I use a free VPN for porn sites?
I generally don’t recommend it, because most free VPNs have data caps, slow speeds and questionable logging. Proton VPN’s free plan is the most trustworthy exception, though you can’t choose your server. A paid VPN with a money-back guarantee, like Surfshark’s 30 days, is the better route.
Is porn illegal in Texas?
No, but Texas requires adult websites to verify that visitors are 18 or older, and the US Supreme Court upheld that law in 2025. Rather than collect ID data, platforms like Pornhub blocked access in Texas entirely.
Will a VPN hide my porn browsing from my ISP?
Yes. Your traffic is encrypted before it leaves your device, so your ISP can see you’re connected to a VPN but not which sites you visit. It also prevents ISP throttling on video streaming.
Which VPN is best for privacy when watching adult content?
Proton VPN is the strongest choice for privacy, with Swiss jurisdiction, open-source apps and an audited no-logs policy. If you also want top speeds, Surfshark One is a strong alternative with RAM-only servers and an audited no-logs policy at a lower price.
Does a VPN protect me from malware on adult sites?
A VPN alone won’t, but the best ones include tools that do. Surfshark One adds CleanWeb and a full antivirus, NordVPN Complete scans downloads, and Proton’s NetShield blocks malicious scripts before they load.
What VPN server location should I use for watching porn?
Choose a server close to you for the best speeds. In a restricted US state, connect through New York, California or another state without age verification laws, and avoid servers in countries where adult content is banned.
Are these Black Friday VPN prices?
Yes. Every price on this page is an early Black Friday deal I verified on October 18, 2026. Black Friday falls on November 27, and I’ll update this page if any deal improves before then.
My Final Verdict
Surfshark One is the best VPN for porn in 2026. It was the fastest VPN in my tests, CleanWeb clears out the ads adult sites are known for, and one $2.49/mo subscription covers every device you own.
If privacy is your top priority, Proton VPN is the strongest alternative. On a strict budget, PrivadoVPN costs just $1.11/mo and has a usable free plan.
Both Surfshark and Proton come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can test them on the sites you actually use before committing.
