Surfshark One+
Surfshark One+ gives you Incogni data removal plus the fastest VPN I have tested, antivirus, breach alerts and private search, for less per month than Incogni Standard on its own.
- Incogni data removal
- Unlimited devices
- Antivirus
- Alert
- Private Search
- Alternative ID
- Incogni data removal included
- Fastest VPN in my tests
- Unlimited VPN devices
- Real-time antivirus
- Breach alerts and private search
- US identity theft coverage for eligible new customers
- Antivirus covers fewer devices than the VPN
- Promo price applies to the first term
- Identity theft coverage not available in New York
- Dedicated IP and Alternative Number cost extra
I have spent more than three years testing privacy tools for my AllThingsVPN and VPNR YouTube channels, and after “which VPN should I use?”, the question I get most is “how do I stop my phone number and home address from showing up everywhere?” A VPN encrypts your traffic and hides your IP address, but it does nothing about the profile a data broker already built and sold about you. That gap is exactly what Incogni was designed to close.
In this Incogni review I break down how the service works, how much it costs in US dollars (including the renewal prices most reviews skip), what the Deloitte assurance report proves, where Custom Removals hit their limits, and whether Protect and Concierge are worth it. I also explain why, for most people, the smartest way to get Incogni is not to buy it alone at all, but as part of Surfshark One+.
Verified October 8, 2026: every Incogni plan, price, coverage figure and policy in this review was checked against Incogni’s official pricing pages and help center on this date, together with the current Surfshark One+ offer. Prices are shown in USD. Promotions, taxes and regional availability can change, so the checkout page always has the final word.
My recommendation: get Incogni through Surfshark One+
Here is the short version of this review. Incogni is an excellent data removal service, and I have no hesitation recommending it. But buying it on its own is rarely the best value. Surfshark One+ includes Incogni data removal and adds the full Surfshark cybersecurity suite on top, and it currently costs less per month than Incogni Standard by itself.
| What you get | Incogni Standard alone | Surfshark One+ |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $7.19/mo first year ($86.29 billed annually), renews at $7.99/mo | From $4.49/mo on the 2-year plan + 3 months free |
| Discount | 55% OFF annual plans | 79% OFF |
| Incogni data broker removal | Yes | Yes |
| VPN with unlimited devices | No | Yes, the fastest VPN in my tests |
| Real-time antivirus | No | Yes |
| Breach alerts (emails, passwords, cards, IDs) | No | Yes, Surfshark Alert |
| Private, ad-free search | No | Yes, Surfshark Search |
| Masked email and generated identity | No | Yes, Alternative ID |
| Scam protection | No | Yes, scam email and text checks plus web filtering |
| Identity theft coverage | No (only on Incogni Protect) | Up to $1 million for eligible new US customers |
| Money-back guarantee | 30 days | 30 days |
When a bundle that contains a product costs less per month than the product on its own, the decision is easy. That is why Surfshark One+ is the option I recommend to most readers of this review, and why I only point people to standalone Incogni plans when they need something specific, like a five-person Family plan or unlimited Custom Removals.

What is Incogni?
Incogni is a service that sends removal requests to data brokers, people search websites and other eligible sites on your behalf, then keeps sending them on a schedule so your information does not quietly reappear. It grew out of research the Surfshark team started in September 2021, when they began digging into how the data broker industry collects and resells personal details. That shared origin is exactly why Incogni fits so naturally inside the Surfshark One+ bundle.
The idea is simple: privacy laws like the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California already give you the right to ask companies to delete your data. The problem is that exercising that right manually means finding hundreds of brokers, filling out hundreds of forms, verifying your identity over and over, and repeating it all months later when your record gets re-added. Incogni does that work for you under those same laws.
From a cybersecurity point of view, this matters more than most people realize. Broker profiles can include your home address, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives, employer and more. That is exactly the raw material scammers, phishers and stalkers use to build convincing attacks. Removing it shrinks your attack surface.
Set realistic expectations: Incogni reduces how much of your information is out there. It does not guarantee that spam calls, phishing emails, fraud or identity theft will stop completely. Data already leaked in breaches is a separate problem, which is another reason I like having Surfshark Alert monitoring for leaks alongside Incogni in One+.
How Incogni works
The part every buyer should understand is that Incogni uses two different methods depending on the type of broker.
Public people search sites
These are the websites anyone can visit to look up a name and get an address, age, phone number and relatives. Incogni scans them for records matching your details and requests removal of what it finds.
Private data brokers
Many brokers do not publish a searchable website. They sell data to marketers, insurers and other businesses behind closed doors. Because these databases cannot be searched the same way, Incogni uses factors like your region to identify brokers likely to hold your data and sends opt-out requests to them anyway.
Why this matters: when your dashboard shows a removal request to a private broker, it does not necessarily mean Incogni first found a visible record about you there. It means the broker was likely to hold your data, so a request was sent proactively. I prefer this approach, because waiting for proof would leave the hidden brokers untouched.
Setting up Incogni
Get your subscription
Either buy Surfshark One+, which includes Incogni, or pick a standalone Incogni plan. Annual or multi-year billing is where the real savings are.
Verify your email and create a password
You confirm your email address, then set the password for your Incogni dashboard.
Add your identifying details
You provide your full name, date of birth and residential address. A phone number is also required when you enter a US home address. Accuracy matters, because these details are what brokers use to match records.
Authorize Incogni to act for you
You sign a digital authorization so Incogni can legally submit removal requests in your name.
Let it run and track progress
Requests go out automatically, confirmations are tracked in the dashboard, and new requests are sent on a recurring cycle without any action from you.
Each person can add up to three email addresses and three home addresses. If your primary address is in the United States, you can also add up to three phone numbers. Addresses can be in different supported countries, which helps if you have moved internationally, but business and office addresses are not accepted. On Incogni Family plans, these limits apply separately to every member.
Coverage: how many data brokers does Incogni reach?
- 420+ data brokers are covered by automated removal. This is the core network, with recurring requests built in.
- 3,000+ additional sites are reachable through Custom Removals on Incogni’s Unlimited, Family Unlimited, Protect and Concierge plans. These are handled by privacy specialists, not by the automated engine.
Put together, the advertised footprint is 3,420+ sites. The two halves work differently: the 420+ brokers are hit automatically and repeatedly, while the 3,000+ extra sites are covered when you or the scanner flag a specific page and a specialist submits the request.
Is Incogni legit? The Deloitte assurance and SOC 2 report
In the data removal space, bold claims are cheap. What I look for is independent verification, and Incogni has more of it than most competitors.
Deloitte limited assurance
According to Incogni’s published summary, Deloitte carried out an independent limited assurance engagement, with the report issued on August 6, 2025. It covered:
- Coverage of more than 420 data brokers
- The receipt of removal confirmations from brokers
- Recurring requests at intervals no longer than 60 days for public brokers and 90 days for private brokers, unless the customer was already on a broker’s suppression list
- Incogni not selling customers’ personal data during the year ended December 31, 2024
- The milestone of 245 million+ removal requests processed, dated July 18, 2025
How I read the 245 million figure: it counts removal requests sent, not customers, not unique profiles and not independently verified deletions. One customer generates hundreds of requests across brokers and repeat cycles. It proves scale, not a success rate.
Limited assurance is a specific, dated check on specific claims. It is meaningful evidence that Incogni does what it says, but it is not a promise that every future removal will succeed.
SOC 2 Type 2 and data handling
Incogni says it has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination covering security, availability, confidentiality and processing integrity. It also describes encrypted systems, infrastructure based primarily in the EU, and GDPR-compliant data processing. As a security professional, I find this reassuring, because you are handing a removal service the exact data you want hidden.
Incogni standalone pricing in 2026 (USD)
If you decide to buy Incogni on its own, these are the regular prices for the four core plans. The annual plan’s monthly price is the yearly charge divided by 12, and you pay the full year up front.
| Plan | People covered | Monthly billing | Annual payment | Annual plan per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 | $15.98/mo | $95.88/year | $7.99/mo |
| Unlimited | 1 | $29.98/mo | $179.88/year | $14.99/mo |
| Family | Up to 5 | $31.98/mo | $191.88/year | $15.99/mo |
| Family Unlimited | Up to 5 | $45.98/mo | $275.88/year | $22.99/mo |
Current Incogni promotion and renewal prices
When I checked on October 8, 2026, Incogni was advertising 55% off its annual plans. Here is what you pay in the first year and at renewal:
| Plan | First-year payment | First-year per month | Annual renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $86.29 | $7.19/mo | $95.88 |
| Unlimited | $161.89 | $13.49/mo | $179.88 |
| Family | $172.69 | $14.39/mo | $191.88 |
| Family Unlimited | $248.29 | $20.69/mo | $275.88 |
| Protect (US only) | $223.99 | $18.67/mo | $248.88 ($20.74/mo) |
| Surfshark One+ (Incogni included) | From $4.49/mo on the 2-year plan + 3 months free | See checkout for renewal terms | |
Read this before you buy: Incogni’s 55% discount is measured against 12 months of monthly billing, not against the regular annual price. Compared to the normal annual plan, the promotional first year is only about 10% cheaper, and plans renew at the regular rate. A Standard subscriber pays $86.29 in year one and $95.88 in year two, a two-year total of $182.17, for data removal alone. Surfshark One+ starts at $4.49/mo and adds a VPN, antivirus, breach alerts and more on top of Incogni.
Where standalone Incogni still makes sense: Family plans
If you need data removal for several people, Incogni’s own Family plans are strong value. With all five seats filled, the regular annual Family plan works out to about $38.38 per person per year, and Family Unlimited to about $55.18 per person. Family seats can go to close friends as well as relatives.
If you only need protection for one person, or you would rather have Incogni plus a full security suite, Surfshark One+ is the better buy. If you are set on a standalone Incogni plan, this is the current direct offer:
Get Incogni for 55% OFF
Annual Standard plan from $7.19/mo in the first year, with recurring removals from 420+ data brokers and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Incogni Custom Removals: how they work and where they stop
Custom Removals is the feature that separates Incogni’s Unlimited tiers from Standard. You can submit exposures that Incogni’s scanner has found, or paste a link to a page you found yourself. The link must point to the exact page showing your personal information; a homepage or bare domain is not accepted. A privacy specialist then takes over, and you can follow each request’s status in the dashboard.
“Unlimited” does not mean “all at once”
“Unlimited” refers to how many requests you can submit, not how many are worked on in parallel. According to Incogni’s current instructions, the team actively handles three of your requests at a time, and everything else waits in a queue in the order you submitted it. Most custom removals are completed within 7 to 30 days, and some sites can take up to 60 days.
What Custom Removals cannot remove
Incogni’s help center (updated October 7, 2026) excludes these request types:
- Court records
- Records on government websites
- Publications about criminal proceedings and convictions
- Social media accounts, blogs and forums
Important limitation: marketing that talks about removing your information “wherever it appears” has to be read alongside these exclusions. If your main concern is a news article, a public court record, an old forum post or a social media profile, Incogni is not the right tool for that specific problem.
Incogni Protect vs Surfshark One+ identity theft coverage
Incogni Protect bundles Incogni Unlimited with Coveron, the identity protection service formerly known as NordProtect. It adds dark web monitoring, TransUnion credit monitoring, credit freeze assistance, and insurance benefits of up to $1 million for identity theft, $50,000 for cyber extortion and $10,000 for online fraud. It is a US-only individual plan that costs $223.99 for the first year and renews at $248.88 per year.
Those are maximum advertised benefits subject to eligibility, not automatic payouts. The Protect help article says New York and Washington residents get the service benefits except insurance, while another official coverage article lists Washington among insured locations, so residents of those states should confirm their coverage before buying.
Surfshark One+ takes a different route. Eligible new One+ customers in the US (including territories and D.C., but not New York) get identity theft coverage of up to $1 million toward certain recovery costs, help from a licensed investigator, and smaller caps for lost wages and counseling. The coverage is issued by HSB Specialty Insurance Company, and terms vary. Combined with Surfshark Alert monitoring your emails, passwords, cards and ID numbers for leaks, One+ covers much of the same ground as Protect at a far lower price, while also giving you a VPN and antivirus.
One thing both share: monitoring is not removal. Incogni’s own help center confirms its broker removal service cannot retrieve data already circulating on the dark web. Leak alerts tell you when to change passwords or freeze credit, but criminal copies of your data stay where they are.
Incogni Concierge: a dedicated privacy specialist
Concierge is Incogni’s most hands-on tier, aimed at people who want ongoing help from a dedicated specialist. Its published features include:
- Automated broker removals and unlimited custom requests
- Weekly manual searches for your information
- Blurring of your residence on Google Maps
- A written risk assessment in the first week, followed by a 90-day review
- Emergency mode with scans up to twice a day, daily reports, urgent support and help from former law enforcement officers
- Up to $1 million in identity theft recovery, dark web monitoring and fraud protection
- A VPN, password manager, antivirus, private email aliases, alternative identity details and a secure phone number
- Coverage for up to five adults, with a specialist reachable by phone and email plus out-of-hours chat
Concierge is only available to US residents, and information about minors cannot be removed through the service. I could not verify a public price on Incogni’s official Concierge page, so I will not guess one. It is built for people with a higher threat profile, such as those facing harassment or stalking, or public-facing professionals.

Surfshark One+ combines Incogni with the fastest VPN I tested, antivirus, breach alerts and private search. See how Surfshark compares with every VPN I tested in our full guide.
See the best VPNs of 2026 →Surfshark One+: everything you get with Incogni included
Surfshark One+ is Surfshark’s top bundle. It includes everything in Surfshark One, plus Incogni data removal and, for eligible new US customers, identity theft coverage. Here is the full package:
- Surfshark VPN: encryption, IP masking, unlimited simultaneous devices, 4,500+ servers in 100 countries, CleanWeb (ads, trackers and cookie pop-ups), Bypasser split tunneling, Dynamic MultiHop, Rotating IP, kill switch and more. It kept about 96% of my connection speed, the best result of every VPN I have tested.
- Alternative ID: generated personal details and a masked email for sign-ups, so your real identity stays out of new databases in the first place.
- Antivirus: real-time protection, scheduled scans and webcam protection. Read my Surfshark Antivirus review for test results.
- Alert: leak monitoring for your emails, passwords, credit cards and ID numbers, plus security reports.
- Search: private, ad-free search with no logs or trackers.
- Scam protection: an email scam checker, scam text protection and web content filtering (availability varies by platform).
- Incogni: contacts data brokers and people search sites to request removal of your personal data, then follows up if it reappears. This is the main One+ exclusive.
- Identity theft coverage: up to $1 million toward certain recovery costs, a licensed investigator, and smaller caps for lost wages and counseling, for eligible new US customers outside New York.
What I like most about this combination is how the pieces work together. Alternative ID keeps your real details out of new sign-ups, Incogni clears the profiles that already exist, Alert warns you when something leaks anyway, and the VPN and antivirus protect what you do online every day. That is a complete privacy workflow, not just a single tool.
Surfshark Starter vs One vs One+
| Feature | Starter | One | One+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surfshark VPN (unlimited devices) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Alternative ID | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Antivirus | No | Yes | Yes |
| Alert (breach monitoring) | No | Yes | Yes |
| Search | No | Yes | Yes |
| Scam protection | No | Yes | Yes |
| Incogni data removal | No | No | Yes |
| US identity theft coverage (eligible new customers) | No | No | Yes |
| 30-day money-back guarantee | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Honest notes on One+: the antivirus usually covers a smaller number of devices, not unlimited like the VPN. Dedicated IP and Alternative Number are paid add-ons and are not part of One+. The identity theft coverage is only for eligible new customers in the US, excluding New York. Longer plans are cheaper per month, and the promotional price applies to the first term, so check the renewal amount at checkout. Prices change with promotions.

+ 3 months free, from $4.49/mo on the 2-year plan. Fastest VPN in my tests, unlimited devices, real-time antivirus, breach alerts, private search and Alternative ID, plus Incogni requesting removal of your data from 420+ brokers and people search sites and re-checking so it does not come back.
Surfshark One+ or Incogni alone: which should you buy?
| Your situation | Best choice |
|---|---|
| You want your data off broker sites and solid everyday online protection | Surfshark One+ |
| You already need a VPN or antivirus | Surfshark One+ |
| You live in the US (outside New York) and want identity theft coverage at a low price | Surfshark One+ |
| You need data removal for up to five people | Incogni Family |
| You need unlimited Custom Removals on specific websites | Incogni Unlimited or Family Unlimited |
| You face harassment, stalking or a high-risk public role (US) | Incogni Concierge |
Incogni dashboard, Privacy Score and mobile apps
Everything happens in the web dashboard. You can see which brokers have received requests, which have confirmed removal and which are pending. Monthly progress reports summarize what happened, so you do not need to log in constantly.
The newer Privacy Score looks at how many exposures have been cleared, how easy your remaining exposures are to find, and how long Incogni has been working on your removals. The score can drop when new records or brokers are discovered, and Incogni describes it as informational with no guarantee of complete privacy, so I treat it as a progress indicator.
US customers can use optional iOS and Android apps to track progress, view their profile and manage family invitations. Onboarding and custom request submission are currently iOS-only in the apps, and editing your profile, billing, the full broker list and detailed requests still need the web dashboard. You never need to install anything for the service to work.
Where Incogni is available
Incogni’s general service is available to residents of the United States (including several US territories), Canada, the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and all 27 EU countries, including Spain. The scope of removals differs by country because privacy laws differ. Incogni Protect and Concierge are US-only, and Surfshark One+’s identity theft coverage is limited to eligible new US customers outside New York.
Refunds and how to cancel Incogni
Standalone Incogni offers a 30-day money-back guarantee from the initial purchase, requested through support, with one refund per customer. Surfshark One+ also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
If you bought Incogni directly, you can stop renewal under Profile, then Subscription & billing, then Manage billing and Cancel subscription. You keep access until the paid period ends, and cancelling does not trigger a refund by itself. If you got Incogni through Surfshark One+ (or through NordVPN or Coveron), you manage cancellation and refunds with that provider instead.
For organizations, Incogni offers Ironwall, an enterprise privacy service for employees, executives and people in high-risk roles, priced per organization.
Incogni pros and cons
What I liked
- Completely hands-off, with recurring requests every 60 to 90 days
- 420+ data brokers covered automatically, plus 3,000+ sites through Custom Removals on eligible plans
- Independent Deloitte limited assurance backing its core claims
- SOC 2 Type 2 examination and mostly EU-based, GDPR-compliant infrastructure
- Proactive requests to private brokers that cannot be searched
- Included in Surfshark One+, which costs less per month than Incogni Standard alone
- Available across the US, Canada, the UK and the entire EU
What I didn’t like
- Standalone plans are pricey for data removal alone compared with the One+ bundle
- The 55% standalone discount is versus monthly billing, so the saving on the annual price is only about 10%
- Custom Removals are handled three at a time
- Cannot remove court records, government records, criminal reports, social media, blogs or forums
- Protect and Concierge are US-only, and Concierge has no public price
- Mobile apps are US-only and limited compared to the web dashboard
My final verdict on Incogni
Incogni is one of the most credible data removal services available in 2026. The real value is time: doing hundreds of broker opt-outs by hand, then repeating them every few months, is a job nobody keeps up with. Incogni does it in the background and keeps the pressure on brokers as your data reappears, and the Deloitte assurance gives me more confidence in that process than marketing alone ever could.
It is not magic. It will not erase court records, social media posts or data already on the dark web, and Custom Removals take patience. But my biggest takeaway is about how to buy it. For most people, paying for Incogni on its own no longer makes sense when Surfshark One+ includes Incogni plus the fastest VPN I have tested, antivirus, breach alerts, private search, Alternative ID and US identity theft coverage, from $4.49/mo. Buy standalone Incogni only if you need a Family plan or unlimited Custom Removals.
Incogni FAQ
Is Incogni included in Surfshark One+?
Yes. Incogni data removal is the main exclusive feature of Surfshark One+. It requests removal of your personal data from data brokers and people search sites and follows up if your data reappears.
Is it cheaper to get Incogni through Surfshark One+?
Yes, for most people. Surfshark One+ starts at $4.49/mo on the 2-year plan with 3 extra months, while Incogni Standard alone costs $7.19/mo in the first year and renews at $7.99/mo. One+ also adds a VPN, antivirus, breach alerts, private search and Alternative ID.
Is Incogni legit and safe to use?
Yes. Incogni’s core claims, including coverage of 420+ brokers, recurring requests and not selling customer data during 2024, were reviewed in a Deloitte limited assurance engagement. It has also completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination and processes data under the GDPR on mostly EU-based infrastructure.
How long does Incogni take to remove my data?
Requests start going out right after setup, and brokers respond on their own timelines. Custom removals usually take 7 to 30 days, and some sites up to 60 days. Incogni repeats requests every 60 days or less for public brokers and every 90 days or less for private brokers.
When should I buy Incogni on its own instead of Surfshark One+?
Buy standalone Incogni if you need data removal for up to five people with a Family plan, if you need unlimited Custom Removals on specific websites, or if you want the dedicated specialist of Concierge in the US.
Can Incogni remove my information from social media?
No. Custom Removals exclude social media accounts, blogs and forums, as well as court records, government websites and publications about criminal proceedings.
Does Incogni remove data from the dark web?
No. Incogni cannot retrieve information already circulating on the dark web. Surfshark Alert in One+ monitors leaks of your emails, passwords, cards and ID numbers so you can react quickly, but no service can delete criminal copies.
Does Surfshark One+ include identity theft insurance?
For eligible new One+ customers in the US, including territories and D.C. but not New York, yes. It covers up to $1 million toward certain recovery costs, help from a licensed investigator and smaller caps for lost wages and counseling. Coverage is issued by HSB Specialty Insurance Company and terms vary.
Is Incogni available in Spain and the rest of Europe?
Yes. Incogni is available in all 27 EU countries, including Spain, plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Incogni Protect, Concierge and One+ identity theft coverage are US-only.
Does Incogni have a money-back guarantee?
Yes. Standalone Incogni plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee on the initial purchase, limited to one refund per customer, and Surfshark One+ also includes a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The Review
I see Incogni as a practical option for reducing my personal information’s exposure without manually contacting hundreds of data brokers. Its automated removal requests and recurring follow-ups are the biggest attractions, although I wouldn’t expect it to erase every trace of me online. For individual users, I’d lean toward getting it through Surfshark One+ for better overall value. I’d consider a standalone plan if I needed family coverage or custom removal requests.
PROS
- Automated requests save time and effort.
- Recurring follow-ups help tackle data reappearance.
- Covers more than 420 data brokers.
- Higher-tier plans include custom removal requests.
- Family plans cover up to five people.
- Also available in EU countries.
- Independent assurance adds credibility.
CONS
- Cannot remove every type of online record.
- Removal requests do not guarantee deletion.
- Custom removals can take up to 60 days.
- Custom requests are processed three at a time.
- Standalone pricing is less attractive than the bundle.
- Promotional discounts require careful comparison.
- Some identity-protection features are US-only.
